"When I decided to take on a substantial property renovation I contacted Emma about the soft furnishing almost immediately. Emma had never done a complete interiors project before but having always liked her taste level I knew it would work well. We spent 15 months working together on fabrics & paints, with the finished furnishings being hung/delivered on time as agreed. Emma introduced any new collections & fabric designers in the market while always considering the period of the property we were renovating. Not only does she have a vast fabric knowledge but her curtain, cushion, window seat pad, bench pad, headboard, lamp shade & upholstery skills are pure perfection. She is a pleasure to work with & her enthusiasm for a project is clear. I have & will continue to recommended her to anyone that admires her work."

"When Emma had finished making all the curtains and blinds for my home in North Yorkshire, I asked her if she would like a reference or testimonial – I have no idea what I was offering really but I wanted to Emma to know that I would recommend her to anyone and everyone given half a chance. The weird thing is, I have no idea how I managed to find Emma – I think fate was involved so I wanted to make it easier for other people to discover the wonder that is Emma! I had contacted someone who made soft furnishings about recovering some seat cushions and during that conversation I asked this person if they made curtains and blinds or knew of anyone else that made them. The lady said that she had heard of someone who was meant to be excellent but she didn’t have her telephone number. I asked if she could locate a contact number and pass it on to me which she kindly did and then I called Emma. So far so ordinary! Except that Emma and I have not been able to establish during our conversations who this lady is – I have no idea who I originally called and Emma has no idea who recommended her. That’s the bit where fate intervened because I don’t think I would have found Emma otherwise! Anyway, Emma and I met and had numerous meetings and discussions about what I wanted for my home – we were in the throes of building work and it was hard to envisage anything looking good at that stage. Our conversations were always wide ranging – she is the easiest person to talk to and great fun to spend time with. Emma did her best to persuade me towards using colour in the window dressings for the house and I resisted at every turn, preferring neutrals and texture rather than anything too bold and bright. It doesn’t matter if you have a different taste to Emma because she loves fabric and loves her work but above all, she wants her customers to be happy. I know it’s a cliché but it’s true. I recommended Emma to a friend whose house was being renovated and she has had the same positive experience and she also has expertly made curtains and blinds too. We have now finished the building work on our house and all the rooms have been furnished and the windows dressed – curtains for a more decorative look or roman blinds for a simpler window treatment. Emma has taken utmost care in the making but, more importantly for me, she takes an equal amount of care with hanging curtains or fitting blinds. The results are exactly what I wanted and I am delighted to give this recommendation for Emma and EmmaB Interiors."

‘’Over the years I have had curtains and blinds made by several companies, big and small, for houses I have lived in. The level of service has varied from doing just what I asked for, regardless of how ill-conceived my idea might have been, to pressing me to agree to designs and fabrics, regardless of my opinion. Emma was recommended to me by a friend, and from the outset, she was professional, knowledgeable and absolutely certain that the most important thing was that I was happy with the finished product. Choosing fabrics for a whole house felt like an enormous task, but Emma helped me negotiate the vast collection of sample books she has. When she suggested fabrics she was, with the benefit of hindsight, working out what my ‘style’ was, so that she could tailor her suggestions more specifically. She was so helpful in pointing out the practicalities of the fabrics we discussed and suggesting ideas to ensure that the final product would meet her exacting standards. My kitchen has a 2.4metre wide window overlooking fields. When Emma asked what I wanted to do with this window, I replied, firmly, ‘nothing’. Emma asked if I had considered Roman blinds. ‘No, I don’t like Roman blinds’, I replied. Emma patiently explained how a Roman blind would ‘complete’ the look of the kitchen, whilst also being very practical, but was very clear that if I wanted to do nothing that was ok too. Suffice to say, I now have a Roman blind made from Sarah Hardaker linen in my kitchen. It complements the room perfectly and Emma was absolutely right - doing nothing would have been a very big mistake! Emma was an absolute delight to work with from start to finish, and her work is incredible. My curtains and Roman blinds make me smile - what more can I say?’’
